Simon Appleby

I'm Simon Appleby and have around 20 years of painting experience. Having grown up and completed my schooling on Waiheke, I went on to start my own business in Auckland 15 years ago. We moved back to Waiheke 7 years ago. It’s a great place to bring up my young family.

I am a Master Painter and have just become a Resene Eco Decorator.

Living on an island has great benefits of a close knit community  but  it's a small island, if you don't do a good job people soon find out about it so we make sure every job is  professionally finished”.

I am a volunteer fireman and I keep fit with boxing and cricket and enjoy fishing.

My Team

Previously operating under the name of Simon's Painting Services, the team has expanded to 4 now with the inclusion of Gordon (21 years experience), Scott – the foreman – who brought his 15 years experience to the team  in early 2010 and Jamie who has been with us for 3 years.

Master Painters

Appleby Painters (under the previous name of Simon's Painting Services) is a Registered Master Painter.

Resene Eco Decorator

Resene have recently developed the Resene Eco. Decorator programme which not only incorporates the use of the best environmental choice of paints, but also requires painters to apply their craft in an environmentally responsible manner.

Assessment for the Eco. Decorator programmes includes assessments of principle in practice, sustainable work practices,waste management, project plans and project sign off processes.

In November 2010, Appleby Painters completed the assessment process and are now Resene Ecodecorators.
